Napa County Divisions

Napa County Superior Court is committed to meeting your needs.  For more information, please select from one of the divisions below.

  • Civil

    The Civil Division provides legal processing services to individuals and businesses of Napa County in the areas of Family Law, Probate Guardianships/Conservatorships, Mental Health, General Civil both limited and unlimited jurisdictions.

  • Criminal

    The Criminal Filing Division is responsible for filing Criminal Complaints submitted by the District Attorney’s Office. In addition court staff provides information about Court dates, appearance requirements, fine information, warrants, and record searches.

  • Family

    The Civil Division provides legal processing services to individuals and businesses of Napa County in the areas of Family Law, Probate Guardianships/Conservatorships, Mental Health, General Civil both limited and unlimited jurisdictions.

  • Jury Service

    If you have been summoned for jury service you may use our self service system and your juror badge number located on the bottom of your summons to check and confirm service or postpone service.

  • Juvenile

    Only persons with a legal right to do so may receive information regarding juvenile cases, such as a parent or legal guardian of the minor. Juvenile matters require a personal appearance with proper photo identification. Information regarding Juvenile matters is confidential and cannot be given over the phone.

  • Small Claims

    Monetary Limits for Small Claims Court: The amount in dispute may not exceed $10,000 for a natural person. If you are filing on behalf of a business the limit of your claim may not exceed $5,000. You may file as many claims as you wish for up to $2,500 in small claims court but are limited to 2 claims for up to $5,000 each calendar year. 

  • Traffic

    The Traffic Division is responsible for filing citations from various law enforcement agencies in Napa County. Customer Service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have received a citation in Napa County you can access the courts automated system to pay a fine, sign-up for traffic school or find helpful information about the citation process anytime it is convenient for you.
