Traffic School-Attending Traffic School

In order to attend traffic school you may either use the On-line Self-service Traffic System or contact the Court to sign up and pay a court administration fee. Some of the traffic school eligibility criteria are:

You must not have received a citation within the last 18 months for which you attended traffic school.

You must have a valid driver’s license.

Your violation must be an infraction, not related to alcohol use or possession or drug use or possession.

You must not have any unpaid citations or failures to appear on your driving record.

A speeding violation with a speed alleged more than 25 miles over a speed limit is ineligible for traffic school.

If you sign up for traffic school and fail to attend, or if you do not successfully complete the course, your fine and administrative fee will be forfeited with no further proceedings. Forfeiture of fine may adversely affect your automobile insurance. If you choose to attend traffic school, you must contact and attend a traffic school, pay their fees, and return a certificate of completion to this court within 90 days of the date of your signature below. Note: Napa County Superior Court will only accept certificates of completion from pre-approved home study traffic schools. For a list of these schools contact the Napa County Superior Court Traffic Division. No extensions will be granted.
