NAPAHELPNapaHelp is an Online Directory of Community Services Available to Napa Residents What NapaHelp Is NapaHelp is a public access database of information about Napa County community services that anyone can access via the Internet at the URL www.napahelp.info. Service providers in this electronic directory are either government agencies or private non-profit organizations. Their services are offered either free of charge, at low cost, or on a sliding scale according to ability to pay. More than 60 organizations currently in the database offer over 300 programs and services, including basic subsistence (food, housing and financial aid), physical and mental health care, family support services, employment and vocational training, legal assistance, and more. A Brief History of NapaHelp The online directory was created through the collaborative efforts of the Napa Superior Court and the Napa Valley Coalition of Non-Profit Agencies. Start-up funding for NapaHelp was provided by the Napa Superior Court from a grant that established a Unified Family Court Program for the benefit of the Napa community. The Court and Coalition have formed the “I&R ACTION Community Task Force” to serve as an advisory body for the initial development and the ongoing operations of this community-based system. North Light, Inc. is the information-and-referral technology vendor that hosts the database on their web site and provides the software that enables members of the public to search, via the Internet, for information on Napa County programs and services. The English language version of NapaHelp was released for public use on November 1, 2005. Translation of NapaHelp information into Spanish is currently under way. Release of the Spanish language version is planned for 2006. To return to NapaHelp and begin your search for community services. For a quick lesson on how to search for services.
