The Family Law Facilitator provides information and assistance in filling out forms to establish paternity, obtain or modify child support, and request protective orders. When resources allow, the Family Law Facilitator provides information and assistance with forms on other issues, including child custody and visitation. This program is for people that do not have an attorney.

The Family Law Facilitator is not your attorney, but is a neutral person who does not represent any parent or party. There is no attorney-client relationship between you and the Facilitator, and communications between the two of you are not confidential. If asked, the Family Law Facilitator will provide information and services to the other party in your case.

The Facilitator does not give legal advice and does not appear in court with you. You will be representing yourself in court unless you hire an attorney. If you are seeking a confidential discussion about your case or advice on what you should do, or you need someone to represent you in court, you must hire an attorney. The Family Law Facilitator is not responsible for the outcome of your case.

Individually scheduled appointments are encouraged, but not required.
